Primary School Kurt-Eisner-Straße
The depot, which got closed in 1952 and the freight transport shaped the urban area over the decades in the South of the Bayerischen Bahnhof. There were several signal boxes and extensive railway tracks on which travel and freight trains were assembled until the shutdown in the year 2001. The full dismantling of the old railway system in the course of the city tunnel construction paired with sustainable and ecological development offers enough room for new usage and ideas. The vivid Leipziger Southern suburb finds its growth potential and place for innovative education concepts.
